  I wish Xi'an Gourmet had a higher rating. This was some of the best Chinese food I had while visiting DC!
  
  We ordered the braised eggplant, the fish fillet in hot chili sauce, and the Shaanxi handmade noodles. The dishes went perfectly with rice (so 下饭 I could probably cry) and the flavor of the noodles was surprisingly homey and satisfying. A little sad that I don't actually live in the area because I would definitely go back and order the same things again. Everything was amazing!

  Beware of the food here! I got FOOD POISONED after eating here, had serious fever, diarrhea and stomach ache for three days. I had to lay in bed doing nothing :(
  One dish we ordered was extremely sour(meat is not fresh) and we returned it, I only tried one piece of meat but got poisoned still.
  
  This is actually my second time here. My first experience was bad(slow service, food was not good, wrong order sent) but my friend said they are getting better since soft opening, then they surprise me again with this rotten dish.
  
  Also let's talk about the food itself. The Chinese name of this place is called Sichuan and Shanxi famous food however I don't think the chef here knows anything about Sichuan dish at all, all Sichuan dish we ordered were so plain, not spicy at all and tasted like there were no salt in it. Everyone in our party were so disappointed and we agreed that the only food you should get here are Shanxi dishes like Chinese burger(肉夹馍）, 凉皮 , 羊肉泡馍. Don't try their Sichuan dish.

  they have pretty good 肉夹馍 with lots of meat and the bread's texture is really good too
  
  凉皮 is pretty authentic, but i prefer it with more sauce and cucumber slices
  
  overall, a great Xi'an restaurant, authentic with great services

  I like to try out new places when I visit Rockville. I went to have dinner here on Saturday. The restaurant was packed. The decor is pretty. The service is not so great. Waiters/ waitresses were scattered and disorganized. I got 6 dishes:
  - Beef tendon and tripe in spicy sauce: it had too much sesame oil
  - Cold noodles: not gonna lie but it was the best dish
  - Chengdu bean jelly: it was mediocre. I had better ones at other places
  - Eggplant in spicy sauce: there was no flavor in this dish
  - Kungpao chicken: not very good. The taste was not as authentic.
  - Cumin lamb: the meat was tender but the flavor was just OK.
  I didn't enjoy most of the dishes. The price was pricey compared to other Chinese restaurants around there. I probably won't be back here again.

  Great seeing another authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. Deco is very relaxing, open and bright. Service was fast and friendly. See they revamped the menu a little, and added some pictures, that is always a welcome for items you are not familiar with.
  
  Today we got the Pork Ear in Red Chili Sauce, pretty average and not too spicy. Singapore Noodle that was right on. And their Fish Fillet with Silk Tofu in Hot Chili Sauce. Excellent dish to warm you up on a cold day, plentiful of fish fillet and tofu, good heat but not overwhelming, really like this dish.
  
  See they offer 5% discount paying by cash, great offer, not like some places that take cash only. And I see many interesting dishes on the menu, definitely will be back to try them out.
